Another Oyola Stunner Beats Las Parejas

Racing De Cordoba returned to winning ways after a very impressive victory against Sporting Las Parejas last night. The Miguel Sancho stadium was buzzing in atmosphere as a stunner from Axel Oyola wins the game for Racing De Cordoba, after an own goal put the home side on level terms.

First Half

Starting XI: Leonardo Rodriguez (GK), Emanuel Cordoba, Santiago Rinaudo, Juan Luis Alfaro, Juan Fernando Alfaro, Marcio Gomez, Emiliano Blanco, Franco Garcia, Alan Murialdo, Pablo Lopez, Axel Oyola

After the last match, as Racing De Cordoba came from behind to earn a point against bottom of the league Atletico Parana, despite being down to ten men, Cordoba had to come out and fight for the victory. Unfortunately for De Cordoba, the visitors took the lead with the first decent effort of the half. Forward Marcelo Olivera scored a close range effort past Rodriguez to put themselves in the lead.

It took almost 25 minutes for the hosts to have their first meaningful attack of the game. This saw some nice place from Axel Oyola find Juan Fernando Alfaro but his effort was brilliantly saved by the goalkeeper for Sporting Las Parejas to keep the score at 0-1. Minutes later, Axel Oyola was involved again, with a brilliantly taken free-kick but again, De Cordoba were denied by the visiting goalkeeper.

However, at long last, De Cordoba finally found their equaliser which their performance deserved. Good build-up play from Alan Murialdo, Pablo Lopez and Axel Oyola created space but an effort was deflected off a Sporting Las Parejas defender and into the back of the net to make it all square and minutes later the referee blew for half-time.

Second Half

Second half began with positive energy from both sides as the points were still very much there for the taking. However, Racing De Cordoba definitely started much better of the two sides.

Therefore, it came as no surprise when the hosts took the lead, ten minutes into the second half. Playmaker Axel Oyola has been in terrific form of late and once again, he delivered an utterly brilliant goal. Oyola picked up the ball on the edge of the penalty, took a touch and curled a phenomenal effort into the far top corner. A goal from a superstar.

Their was a booking for the visitors before the next effort arose. This effort saw brilliant play from Emiliano Blanco on the right hand side, and he picked out Alan Murialdo. Murialdo rose the highest and headed the ball towards goal but unfortunately for De Cordoba, his effort went wide. This effort was then followed by a triple change for Racing De Cordoba as Mateo Suarez, Cristian Pizarro and Lisardo Do Campo replaced Axel Oyola, Emiliano Blanco and Pablo Lopez..

However, both sides could only manage half chances after that. Racing De Cordoba were happy to see out the game, knowing they were returning to winning ways and extending their lead at the top of the table. As for the visitors, as much as they tried, they simply couldn't find a way past Rodriguez as the referee blew the game to a conclusion.
